1. What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis is the permanent method of hair removal, first developed in the United States in 1875, that employs the use of a small filament (smaller than the hair itself) inserted into a natural opening of the skin called the hair follicle. A small amount of electrical current is then delivered to the filament by a sensitive electronic device called an epilator. Our highly skilled technicians employ the "blend" method, which destroys hair by a combination of heat and chemical action.

2. Is it really permanent?

YES! Electrolysis removes hair permanently from every skin and hair color. Other medical devices have been granted the right to claim "permanent reduction". Many people try home hair removal techniques such as depilatories, waxing, tweezing, shaving, sugaring, but electrolysis is the only permanent and safe method of hair removal. Our electrologists are Board Certified and participate in continuing education in order to maintain high levels of expertise.

3. Does it hurt?

The degree of discomfort varies with each person. Anesthetic creams may be applied to treat sensitive areas. There should be no reason for anyone to experience more discomfort than a slight heat sensation.
